About the Program
Free to the public, this unique program will present program attendees with a wide-ranging discussion from nationally-renowned advocates, scholars, and athletes as they examine the consequences of traumatic brain injury (TBI), examine the consequences of this condition, and discuss the ways in which survivors deal with loss, recovery, and resilience.
This issue is especially relevant in our San Diego community, which is home to many veterans and current military service members that are at risk of TBI during both combat and training exercises. This lecture will also be useful to the family/support systems of those facing trauma related to TBI and support staff/services that treat the victims of this injury.
Come and learn about this pressing issue and how to best support the healthy treatment and reintegration into society of those that have experienced this type of trauma.
