The World Affairs Councils of America's flagship youth education program is a fun, fast-paced team competition for high school students. Academic WorldQuest tests players' knowledge of current international politics, geography, global economics, history, and world cultures. The winning team is invited to represent San Diego in The Carlos and MalĂș Alvarez Academic WorldQuest National Competition in Washington DC on April 24 – 25, 2020.


10 questions on 10 different topics = 100 questions


How to Participate in the San Diego Competition:

1) Register your 4-person team and on-campus academic advisor. The cost per team is $100. (A 5th-person alternate may be registered in case one of the 4 team members is unable to participate on the day of the competition).

2) Download the free official Study Guide. All the San Diego competition questions will be drawn from the Study Guide

3) Attend the San Diego AWQ competition on Saturday March 14, 2020 at a location To Be Determined.

a) (Registration: 9:00am - 9:30am; Program: 9:30am – 2:30pm). A continental breakfast and lunch will be served as well!
